Owynn's Big World: Owynn and the Pumpkin Patch

This year's visit to the pumpkin patch was quite the success. Until the end. This year the admittance was cheaper and we got to take a pumpkin home. Last year we paid $4 more/person and got no pumpkin. If we wanted a pumpkin we had to buy one. I was pumped! We made our way to the "train" that took us to the pumpkin patch and O loved the ride. It was bumpy and there were other kids to look at.

After the hayride we went to see the animals. There was a pig, some chickens, a cow, a sheep and a couple of ponies. The best part was the bunnies. He was so excited he kept asking them how they were. "HI BUNNIES! HOW ARE YOU?!"

Then came the goats. He was so excited. Last year, he got nipped and threw up on the goat. This year he was feeding them hay from outside the pen. He was so happy and proud! So was I. Especially since I didn't have to clean up a barfed upon goat.

And to wrap up the day, we hit the slides. That are made for big kids. But, Owynn has no fear when it comes to slides. He hasn't met one he doesn't love upon sight. There is one big hill to climb up and two slides: one steep and fast, the other not as steep and not as fast. Which did we go down first?! You guessed it. And my stomach was in my throat before the end. The next 5 trips down were on the slower slide. He was so sad when we went to find the next group of slides. He was able to walk up the ramp and launch himself face first, on his belly. And it all went well until a group of loud, fast moving big boys came along and didn't make sure he was out of the way before heading down after him. So he got bumper car-ed. That was the end of our day. And we left without a pumpkin. But we had a great time!!!
