| My most favorite picture in the last few months...such a big boy! |
Ours if off to a great start. Mommy and O went to Durango after Christmas and came back New Year's Eve to celebrate with our Untle Wiz and Untle Tom (No typos there. It used to be Aunt Wiz and Hi to Tom but now we have Untle Wiz and Untle Tom). We were both in bed early. O was asleep by 8 pm and Mommy was out before 10. We woke up the next morning and had breakfast with the family and then got to work on dinner. Overall, it was a lovely day and evening spent with our loved ones.
Today O and Mommy spent time with our friends, the Garcias. Gabe started to cry (he's going to be 3 later this year) and O asked if he was ok. And then gave him a hug and told him it would be okay. SO SWEET!!!!!! I got a little choked up watching him be such a good friend.
And then, we were saying good bye and O wouldn't stop giving Gabe hugs. And Gabe got super annoyed. And it was SO funny. Because, every time O and Gabe play Gabe wants the toys O is playing with and is usually right in his space asking for it. Turn about was fair play!!! And so sweet!

Around Christmas time, we got a box in the mail. From Pre-School Prep Co. Our Nana had a meeting with a woman, recently, who has a wonderful product for Nana's work. Nana had a conversation with her about grandchildren and then she said, "How old is your grandson? Is he reading yet?"
"Three, not yet. He's trying."
"Oh, well my niece owns Pre-School Prep Co. I'll have her send you some DVDs."
And did they ever. We got all of the phonics DVDs, coloring books, flash cards and all of the Meet the Sight Words DVDs, coloring book, flash cards and easy reader books. HOLY COW!!! Owynn is SO excited to read his Meet the Sight Words coloring book. He took it to bed with him this evening and was mad that I turned the light off and wouldn't let him keep reading!!!!
And we recently found the show Super Why. It's the cutest and O loves the stories. He really likes that he gets to read and learn new words! And he's eating like a champ while watching it!
He also, recently, gave up his potty chair. He told me he had to pee one morning and I said, "hit that green potty."
"No green potty. I use a white potty."
He proceeded to carry it to the middle of my bedroom floor and has been using the big potties ever since. He's growing up quick!
