Summer Heat = A Trip To The Splash Pad

Owynn's Nana and Yaya came to see us this weekend.  The last time they visited, O went to their hotel to swim and ended up getting a little traumatized (nothing in particular happened…he didn't even get in the pool).  So, going to the hotel was not an option for swimming on a hot day.

This morning, we joined them at Village Inn (O's favorite breakfast place) and on the way, I noticed a city park.  With a splash pad.  That I had never noticed before.  Ding, ding!!!  That's the place to be on a hot afternoon.  We went to breakfast, then to church.  Mommy was formulating a plan for the afternoon!

After church, we went home to eat lunch and then I told O we would go to a park and get in the water.  He was SUPER excited!  So we put on new swim trunks, sunscreen and away we went!

It's been pretty hot, as of late, so this adventure was the perfect antidote!  And then, O found a power box.  With gold spinning balls on top.
With some sound advice.
He still had to check it out.  And ask what it was.  And learn about wind powered energy.  Good times.

It was so hot, we had to go to DQ ("dee qua").

"This is awesome!"

That's the candle for his next birthday party, by the way!!

It was a wonderful way to spend the day with the grandparents!!
