Happy 2015

I ended up having four days off, in a row, over New Year's.  So, O and I packed up our car and headed to Phoenix.  Uncle Nathan had a baby boy in October.  We hadn't met him yet.  Perfect opportunity to spend some time with family!

Owynn is a great travel companion.  He didn't have to pee 16 times.  He worked on coloring books, sang songs, watched a video and watched the scenery outside the car window whiz by.

We met Alexander and had a great time visiting with Uncle Nathan, Sarah Jae and our other family and friends.

Owynn LOVED holding the baby.  Alexander didn't mind, either!

We went to lunch with our friend Rebecca.  Sweet Tomatoes is a great place for a picky eater.  Owynn got to pick out exactly what he wanted!  And then Rebecca started to tease O.  And hid some food.  It was quite a funny game!

"Look Owynn, it's Santa!"

"Silly Babecca!"
And the Mac is gone!

On New Year's Day, O woke up early and announced, "MOM, IT'S NEW YEAR'S DAY!  It's 2015!"  He was so excited.  He's been counting down for a month.  And then, he informed me that he's 5.  Because, in 2014 he was 4, in 2013 he was 3, etc.  It makes complete sense.  I countered with the fact that he hasn't had a birthday party.  How can he be 5?  "But, it's 2015.  I'm 5 now."  There seems to be no convincing him otherwise.  Oh, and he's changed his birthday.  It's now September 24th.   And then, it might be Thanksgiving.  Depends on the mood of the day.  Silly boy!

We visited with friends and family, enjoyed snow in Scottsdale.  O loved playing with Uncle Nathan's cat, Grendel.  And got super bossy with the dogs, Eve and Paisley.  Overall, it was a wonderful break and great to see those we could.

May this new year be full of fun, blessings beyond measure, growth and adventure!  Happy New Year to all!
