A short boy meets Santa Claus

Our friend, Mindi, works with the Governor's office here in Santa Fe.  She's pretty awesome.  Mindi and the Governor!  Mindi was over for dinner last night and mentioned that the Governor was lighting the tree tonight and that the festivities start at 5 pm.  Did we want to go?  Um, yes please!!!

I took O to school this morning as it was my last day of my semester.  And I had a final to study for!  When I picked him up he was playing outside with his buddies and ran over for hugs.  We said our goodbyes and headed off to the park to play.  The park playing didn't last too long.  They've put up a new slide but it's roped off.  Owynn didn't like that.  So we had to be distracted by a promise of riding in the beep-beep car at Whole Foods.  After that, we headed home to grab jackets and down to the capitol building. 

Owynn was so excited about stairs!  So we walked up and around the front of the building and then he noticed that he could go into the building.  We walked around for a little while and then Mindi came down from her office.  We went outside just in time to hear the fire truck.  It was delivering Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Really?  That's Santa?  O isn't sure about him.
